Alex has been connected to the desert from a very young age, having grown up in Mitzpe Ramon since the age of 3. With a deep familiarity with the landscape, the people, and the unique character of the region, he leads the company’s vision and develops desert experiences that combine nature, adventure, hospitality, and meaningful content.
With extensive experience in desert tourism, Alex specializes in creating tailored experiences for groups, families, and travelers from Israel and abroad, while maintaining a high standard of service, professionalism, and an authentic connection to the המקום. His long-standing familiarity with Mitzpe Ramon and the Negev makes it possible to create experiences that offer depth, precision, and a genuine desert atmosphere.

Rinata is a central part of the operational heart of Deep Desert Israel. She grew up in Midreshet Ben-Gurion, studied at the Environmental Education High School, and moved to Mitzpe Ramon at the age of 17 — a natural path that connected her to the desert, people, and hospitality.
Rinata accompanies guests from the very first planning stage, through matching the right activities and building the schedule, and all the way to on-site support during events and activity days in the field. The combination of office work, precise coordination, and a strong on-the-ground presence allows her to see the full picture and make sure every experience is well organized, smooth, welcoming, and personally tailored to each guest.

Rinat Mahalel is a rappelling instructor at Deep Desert Israel, bringing a professional, calm, and precise approach to working in the field. She guides participants at height with confidence, patience, and attention to detail, and knows how to turn rappelling into an accessible, safe, and empowering experience — even for those trying it for the first time.

Effie Perry is a licensed tour guide who leads a wide range of desert experiences, including hiking tours, jeep tours, and stargazing experiences. His broad knowledge, together with a genuine love for the desert and its stories, allows him to provide travelers with an experience that is rich, engaging, and deeply connected to the place.
Whether it is a quiet hiking route through desert landscapes, an off-road drive to hidden corners, or an encounter with the night sky of Mitzpe Ramon, Effie knows how to combine content, nature, atmosphere, and precise guidance, turning every journey into a meaningful and memorable experience.

He had great knowledge to share, being very kind and explaining everything about the geology/ history/ traditions of the place in an easy to follow but very entertaining way! It was only 2 hours tour but felt like the whole day!
